Three years ago I thought I was in a really good place with my "ever-supportive" boyfriend. 🥰 We had-all and did-all, whenever we wanted.
Post-covid seclusion wasn't so kind.
It all fell apart. 💔
He has someone else now, and a baby.
I moved 500+ miles away.
We are still friends.
Are we?, or does he just need my help?
I help him 'cause I miss him even though I should've set him on fire.
It's bittersweet.
Life goes on.
Oh yeah ... Chaos Coordinator?? Cause I'm really good at it.
Chaos Coordinator
I was born a misfit, the black sheep of the family. I don't follow rules and I hate being told what to do.
I'm blunt. Kinda naive. I love my family. I love to laugh and have fun ... and craft.

I've driven A LOT in the past 2 years.
In May of '22 I moved to northern Nevada to be with my oldest and her family. That trip was 8 hours. Beating my last solo trip a few years earlier that was 5 hours long.
In May of '23 we all drove from Winnemucca to Disney California. That one took the better part of 10 hours by caravan, and then almost 11 by myself (and my grandson) in the rain to get a back home.
Ugh.
Throughout the year I drove to various other locations for highschool football games.
And, I did a solo trip, over and back (8 hours!) to spend a week in LV with my work family.
I hope to be able to add some more!

Happy 2022 !
A little late but I hope everyone has a great 2022.
2021 was a struggle, to say the least.
This Covid has me isolated and lonely . . . plus the let downs, disappointments, and heart ache made it a year I'd rather forget. I feel like crying has become the norm, so I'm trying an "IDGAF" approach. I'm not bawling my eyes out every day, I'm quiet and resentful. I honestly don't know which is better for my health at this point.
I really need 2022 to be good for me.
I'm starting by changing the name of this blog from "A Little Bent Out of the Ordinary" ... to ... "I Don't Do Mornings".
It's not a new title for me. It's old and relatable.
We'll see ...

When it rains, it pours ...
I didn't know if I should title it that, or "Do Bad Things Happen When You're Upset?" ...
Story time!
Yesterday was National Sandwich Day and I'm still pouting because I was at work and even though I hinted at it, my boyfriend (who was off) didn't bring me a sandwich. Work sucked major hairy camel ass, BUT, yay for being employed, right?
Today was MY day off and my boyfriend asked if I could take his car to be smogged while he was at work, and then go to DMV to pick up his new personalized plates. -_- This involved switching cars for the day, not a big deal, and now I get to drive Queen Victoria.
I got off to a slow start because it's my day off so naturally I want to sleep in. But then it involved reading the letter from DMV to make sure I have all my ducks in a row. I know, right? Reading on my day off ... the audacity! ;) I had to print out proof of insurance from my app. More work.
12:30ish
I texted my boyfriend to tell him that MY screwdriver (from MY pink tool bag) is missing and he calls me back ... something that didn't require a call ... instead of telling me where my damn screwdriver is, he says "you're still home??" in that tone like 'do you know what time it is?'. O.M.G. that just stoked my already short fuse ... Now I'm pissed. It's only noon. I'M the one who has to wait at DMV - DID I MENTION IT WAS MY DAY OFF?! - and he didn't even bring me a sandwich yesterday. I'm not being dramatic. I had to sit down for a minute to stop the tears.
1p
Texted him to let him know the registration wasn't in the car. If you ask me why it's not in the car ... I swear to God ...
1:12p
The smog place is half a block away, there were 3 other cars in front of me but it's going pretty fast. Got the new smog paper and I'm cruising to DMV. Still mad but feeling better, it is all blue skies and breezy. The wind thru the window is messing up my curls and I don't care because it feels nice.
DMV is 20 minutes away and halfway there I notice smoke in the passenger sideview mirror. At first I think it's dust from a dirt lot I'm passing but then I smell antifreeze, so I turn off at the first corner, pull in about a 100 feet past 3 cars that are parked near the intersection and stop the car. When I stopped driving, the sudden cease in motion caused a small cloud to *poof* in front of me and I could see it WAS indeed my car who was smoking.
1:45p
Now I've gotta call my bf at work and give him bad news. I looked under the car and saw a slow drip, but when I opened the hood there was anti-freeze EVERYWHERE.
I sent my bf pictures.
He calls up his mechanic and they arrange to send a tow truck.
Meanwhile, those cars parked at the corner had to do with a fender-bender and a cop is there taking a report. After I've been there standing/walking around the car for 20 minutes the cop must've asked someone if I was with them because I hear a guy say "no, she got here after we did". The cop starts to walk my way and asks "is everything ok over here?" (My hood has been propped up like forever, so, no.)
Me: yeah ... (initiate diarrhea-of-the-mouth-sequence) ... I recounted my life for the past half hour or so ...
Cop: yeahhhh, that's antifreeze ...
Me: -_-
Cop: this is NIIICE car. What year is this?
Me: 2007 ?
Cop: it looks brand new
Me: yeah ...
Cop: Do you need a tow?
Me: my boyfriend has arranged for one
Cop: did they say how many hours it would be?
Me: hopefully not "hours"
Cop: let me know, I can call for a tow, they'll get here quick
Me: thank you!
Cue bf who comes speeding around the corner like he stole a car and pulls up behind us. I even sent him a text: "Don't speed when you turn on Washburn, there's a cop car at the corner taking pictures ...".
After looking around and under the car for 5 minutes he finds a busted hose.
I tell him about the cops offer to get us a tow. Bf calls mechanic for ETA on their tow truck. He says '3 hours'. -_- He cancels the tow and goes to talk with the cop.
(to be continued, I have to go shower) I don't mind waiting around with the car. I am a patient person. I was born to marinate ... well, not for 3 hours, but I can wait.
Moral ofthe story: when your witch gf asks you for a sandwich ...

Let There Be Rain
Omg, people are Stupid in the rain!
It's me ... I am 'people' ... but in all fairness, I didn't hit anyone while swerving to avoid running into a lawn chair and a downed construction sign on two separate occasions.
Someone who was to my right and behind me when I swerved the first time decides they're going to get behind me.
It's probably safer to be behind me, but I felt like I was being followed, so when the light turned green I didn't move.
It's my Friday and there's lightning going on, I can stay here all night, you picked the wrong one ...
He didn't honk at me, he just went around really slow probably thinking I'm going to accelerate but like I said, I have all night. I thought that was strange. Why didn't he honk? I would've honked. 😑 Now I'm to the right and slightly behind him.
He's going 20 in a 35 (N Rainbow) ... and I'm going 19, LOL.🤣
At one of the lights there's a car in front of him and he's probably thinking he'll get behind me again.
Nope!
I just stopped til both cars passed me.
I'm in no rush to get to Walmart. 😂🤣
I fully expected a cop car to show up and ask me if I was drunk.
I had THAT conversation all planned out in my head, too.
Like,
look, I swerved to avoid slicing my tires open when I left work.
Damn.
My boyfriend will be happy to know I eventually made it home and the car is unscathed.
More rain is expected ... stay home if you can.
